Gideon was facing a midianite host of 135,000 soldiers. He had 32,000 men—already severely outnumbered. Yet, God cut his army down to 300, armed not with swords, but only with clay pots, torches, and horns. They blew their horns, broke the pots, and the massive host scattered in panic. When you find your margins cut, your helpers gone, and yourself severely outnumbered, know that God loves using small, brave, broken vessels to accomplish historic victories.
